Tour begins with a drive through
the town for an overview of its cultural history and development,
passing the Chinese Temple and the Resident’s administrative office.
Following the Miri Center, Miri Resource Centre, Chinese Temple, Taoist
Temple, modern and trendy shopping malls, Oil/Gas Complex, Piasau
Camp.Visit the Miri Heritage Center, an arts and crafts hub. (Many
different ethnic groups in Northern Sarawak produce a wide variety of
handicrafts ranging from the Iban Pua Kumbu cloth to Kenyah woodcarvings
and Lun Bawang tree bark products.) Follow that is a visit to Canada
Hill, offering a panoramic view of the city from the Canada Hill
Lookout, and a visit to the Petroleum Science Museum at Oil Well No. 1
on Canada Hill. Our final destination is the Tamu or market where
farmers sell jungle produce, vegetables, fruits and poultry. Drop off at
your hotel or Miri Airport.

This is a popular tour which allows
you to spend the day getting to know highlights of the Brunei's capital
city. Depart from Miri early and enjoy the 3 hours scenic drive to
Bandar Seri Bengawan, Brunei passing inter border at Sg Tujuh .Proceed
to visit the Brunei Museum with its impressive Bornean collection and
the local Malay martial culture and the Islamic influence. Call in at
the impressive Jame'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, an Islamic
architectural gem (closed all day Thursday and until 16.30 hrs Friday),
as well as the Palaces of both the current and previous Sultans; The
Royal Regalia Centre, housing the royal ceremonial costumes gives an
insight to the wealth of this oil rich and ancient sultanate. Witness
the water village, where more than thirty thousand people live on their
ancestral sites. This water village has all the modern amenities,
including schools, clinics, police station and a fire brigade. Lunch at
a local restaurant. Return to Miri .
